ProLift Garage Doors isn't a franchise. It's a Connecticut business built from the ground up by one tradesman who believes a straight diagnosis and a fair price are the only way to do this work.
Every article, every service page, every piece of advice you read on this site comes from me personally — someone who has replaced thousands of springs, diagnosed hundreds of openers, and learned the hard lessons that only come from real fieldwork.
I founded ProLift Garage Doors in 2011 with a single goal: offer Connecticut homeowners a garage door company that doesn't upsell, doesn't inflate problems, and doesn't disappear after the job. Most of what I know I learned on driveways across Fairfield and Hartford counties — in the cold, under cars, on ladders — not in a training room.
Beyond running the service side, I write every word published under the ProLift name. When I explain why your torsion spring broke, or how to tell a bad gear from a bad logic board, that's knowledge I earned doing the work — not content I outsourced. I believe the homeowner who understands their garage door is the homeowner who doesn't get taken advantage of.
Today ProLift serves all of Connecticut, Monday through Saturday, with the same flat-rate pricing and commitment to quality on every job. Same tech who picks up the phone is the one showing up at your door.
Too many garage door companies arrive hoping to sell the most expensive fix. ProLift was built as the opposite — a service built on repeat business and word-of-mouth, where the only way to survive long-term is to do the job right the first time and charge what it actually costs.
Same-day service across Connecticut. Flat-rate quote before we start.
